Eagles Landing is having their 5th Annual Christmas Open House with Craft & Gift Show that takes place Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Hwy 46 in Ellettsville. This year there will be free buffet, local authors, photos with Santa and more. The Event is free and open to the public.
There will be a free buffet. The Craft and Gift Show combined with the shops of Eagles Landing will offer up a broad selection of creative gift ideas. The photo with Santa is only $1.00. Three local authors will make presentations and be available to sign their books.
The three authors and their presentations are as follows: Autobiographer Elsieferne V Stout will talk about how Your Story is Worth Writing. Poet Bronislava Volkova will perform a poetry reading with music accompanied by a talk on her healing modalities Reiki & Omega entitled "Light Meets Darkness". Guitarist Denis Taaffe will talk about his new book "Alien Guitar lessons For The Intermediate and Advanced Guitarist" and give a brief concert.

Autobiographer Elsieferne V. Stout will give a talk entitled "Your Story is Worth Writing" as part of the 5th Annual Eagles Landing Christmas Open House with Craft & Gift Show Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 10:30am on Hwy 46 in Ellettsville. Elsieferne who prefers to go by Ferne feels everyone has a story worth telling and preserving for future generations. She will talk about how you save it does not matter whether you formally publish it or write it on loose-leaf paper and put it in a binder. The talk & the rest of the Eagles Landing Christmas Open House with Craft & Gift Show is free and open to the public.
Ferne was born in Dundy County, Nebraska, the daughter of Homesteaders. Her formal education began in a one-room school in rural Dundy County, and ended with a Masters (Special Education) from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana. She began her teaching career in the one-room schools in Dundy and Chase Counties Nebraska. Later she substituted in grades K-12 in the consolidated schools in Rush County, Indiana. Currently besides writing, she designs her own clothing and is a professional clothing alterationist. She is an active volunteer in her community and church. Bronislava Volkova will share her poetry as part of the 5th Annual Eagles Landing Christmas Open House with Craft & Gift Show Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Noon on Hwy 46 in Ellettsville. The poetry reading will be accompanied by Ashley Toms, piano. In addition to the poetry, there will be a talk on energy healing. The Poetry reading & the rest of the Eagles Landing Christmas Open House with Craft & Gift Show is free and open to the public.
A presentation on the healing work of Bronislava Volkova entitled "Light Meets Darkness" will cover Reiki & Omega energies used to transform the dark side of life into light, i.e. suffering of various kinds, whether physical or mental, whether inflicted by nature, socially, or self-inflicted, by creating an opening where peace can enter. The talk will be followed by a poetry reading from her latest books that represent another form of this transformational effort - through mystical and metaphysical submersion into the reality of life. Denis Taaffe will give a talk on his new book followed by a short concert as part of the 5th Annual Eagles Landing Christmas Open House with Craft & Gift Show Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 1:30pm on Hwy 46 in Ellettsville. The title of Denis Taaffe's book is "Alien Guitar Lessons for Intermediate and Advanced Guitarist". The talk portion on the book will last until about 2:00pm.
